MISSION

With the passing of legislation allowing student-athletes to profit from their name, image and likeness, Crimson and Cream leverages the collective power of the alumni and fans to equip student-athletes with the tools and resources necessary for them to excel both during and beyond their time in Norman. More importantly, we seek to help student-athletes maximize their NIL opportunities the right way, without ever compromising the values of the university and the legacy of all those who have donned the Crimson and Cream in the past.

The Crimson & Cream Executive Committee is a group of passionate Oklahoma fans and well-known alumni that came together to help Sooner athletes leverage their NIL in diverse and creative ways. The Executive Committee receives no compensation for its work associated with C&C and the sole goal is to assist OU athletes in finding ways to leverage their NIL for good, while representing the University honorably on and off the field or court.

FAQs

At present, a minimum of 85% of contributions to the Crimson and Cream Collective go directly to the University of Oklahoma student-athletes. This is attained by keeping the Collective’s costs low while operational functions including IT, legal, marketing materials, content creation, student-athlete education, bookkeeping, and fan engagement experiences. A Board of Directors consisting of alumni, school officials, and local business leaders review the finances of the Collective on a regular basis to ensure funds are spent in ways that benefit the student-athletes.

Yes, Crimson and Cream Collective members can direct their contribution to a sport, an athlete(s), or the entirety of all student-athletes. Members can also use membership digital platform or contact us directly to use their contribution for a collaboration with a specific student-athlete(s).

Individuals and businesses interested in giving larger contributions (greater than $1,000 per annum) to Crimson and Cream can contact us directly at [email protected]. For larger contributions, we offer customized solutions to support the personal or professional needs of the contributor.

The beauty of NIL is that it has created a community where student-athletes, fans, and business leaders can connect, collaborate, and create amazing things together. As a member of the Collective, you have the ability to connect directly with your favorite student-athlete and propose their engagement with a marketing partnership, promotional collaboration, or a personal video birthday message to their number one fan. If you have questions or need a little help, just reach out so that we can help form the best partnership possible.

Crimson and Cream offers student-athletes near limitless opportunities to engage in collaborations including autograph signings, social media promotions, camps and clinics, charity events, special appearances, commercials, and many more.

The value of a marketing collaboration varies based on the popularity of the student-athlete, her/his marketability, the type of activity, and their schedule and availability. If you connect with a Student-Athlete using the Collective portal, their specific rates will be posted. If you require a more customized solution, we are happy to help facilitate a marketing collaboration at the most appropriate market rate.

Absolutely. It is our mission to ensure that every student-athlete has the ability to benefit from their name, image, and likeness. While some receive financial remuneration, many others benefit through support of alumni, the local business community, and supporters of the athletic program. We strive to create financial opportunities for every student-athlete, but we also seek opportunities for student-athletes to network, pursue career pathways, and discover experiences manifested through their experience as a student-athlete.

All contracts with student-athletes are limited in time and scope to provide protection for contributor funds in situations where a student-athlete transfers or leaves the University. In any situation, the Collective is involved in helping to facilitate a smooth transition.

Crimson and Cream is not affiliated with the university in any way. In fact, the University is prohibited by state law from arranging third-party compensation for student-athletes as it relates to NIL. The Crimson and Cream Collective is a third party entity, governed by a Board of Directors, that supports the needs of the student-athletes through an engaging and collaborative partnership between the fans, alumni, and business community.

Student-athletes cannot enter into deals that promote alcohol, drugs, pharmaceuticals, political advertising, pornography, gambling (or betting), or other opportunities that compromise the values of the University of Oklahoma. Additionally, there must be quantifiable value between a student-athlete and an individual or business when a collaboration is executed and completed.

If you want to be part of Crimson & Cream membership program and enjoy all of the perks, and rewards, you must register and link your credit card. Once a month, your linked credit card will be charged the membership fee based on the tier you select.

Brands want to reward shoppers. Cash Back is a simple way for brands to give you money for shopping with them.

Earning Cash Back in store is simple! Just link one or more eligible US Mastercard or Visa credit cards to your profile. When you shop at participating local stores, and online, and pay with your eligible linked card, you’ll automatically earn Cash Back on qualifying purchases.

Cash Back will be added as a credit to your credit card statement within 30-60 days. We trust you, but to ensure that fraudsters don't take advantage of the Cash Back system, there is often a holding period that corresponds to the return or refund period of the brands. Please refer to the specific terms for information on if, and how long, the holding period is, to earn your cash back.

After linking your credit card to Boomer Tier, your daily transactions tied to your linked credit card will round to the nearest dollar. The minimum monthly charge will be applied in case your round-ups don't achieve the subscription value of a minimum amount of $20. The charge for this tier will never exceed $45.

Round-up example, if you make a transaction for $1.75 the ‘round up’ will be $0.25.

At this time, you can only use a US Visa or Mastercard Credit Card.

To access the Crimson & Cream Perks Network, you need to sign up and link a credit card. Think of them as a reward for enrolling to contribute monthly to Crimson & Cream. To sign up, click here: https://www.crimsoncreamcollective.com/content/memberships
